SPRING RETREAT 2010
On April 9-11 G.N.O. Ministries had our Spring Retreat with campers from different areas. We prayed long about the retreat before we began planning. We asked God to send the campers whose hearts were ready to receive the Word, and the right counselors and helpers who would have a servants spirit ready to labor hard and long. We asked God for an anointing upon Pastor Joe as he would deliver the word. And God answered every prayer powerfully! From the first evening service the campers were focused and hungry for all that God had for them. The praise and worship music was right on target as was the theme: “GOD’S WILL OR YOUR WAY”. The counselors and helpers that God sent to us were so down-to-earth and easy to relate to, and each of them had a heart to serve. We thank God for His goodness and faithfulness to us! The campers worked hard on their memory verses and were very focused during worship and the word. The prayer time was especially powerful because God’s presence was so evident as they gave the Holy Spirit liberty. Each camper who had their cup turned upright was not only filled, but was overflowing with joy and a peace that passes all understanding because there was total surrender on their part. Take a look at the pictures we have posted and see the evidence of prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
If you are a camper and would like to post your testimony on the site, please feel free to do so. Parents, if you have comments, please feel free to send them as well. We thank each parent for allowing their child to attend the retreat, and we pray that each one will return for summer camp as soon as we schedule it.
We always have campers who want to come but cannot afford the fees although they are very minimal. Please pray about becoming a sponsor for a child for summer camp. The fee will be 50.00 which will provide one camper with 3 meals a day for five days. Remember what Jesus said, “…if you have done it to the least of these, my brothren, you have done it unto me."
